A handling charge is a fee added to the price of your item and is paid by the consumer. It is not paid by you or deducted from the percentage you receive. Generally, we have a handling charge of $1 per item for items selling under $150 and $3 per item for each item above $150. Handling charges cover the additonal costs incurred in consignment for monitoring when items sell, keeping track of when items should be marked down, any additonal staff required to keep track of what consigners should be paid, and writing checks to consigners. We make every effort to pay our consigners the maximum amount we can for each item sold. We reserve the right to change our handling charges at our discretion.
